Dr. Sarah Spalding graduated in 2013 with a Ph.D. in Medieval History. Sarah’s research focused on gender, intellectual culture and reform in the high middle ages.
While at CUA, Sarah had opportunities to work with undergraduates in a variety of roles, both in the classroom as an Instructor and administratively as an undergraduate advisor. After leaving CUA, Sarah has continued her work with undergraduates at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia as the Director of Student Engagement for the School of Business. In this role, Sarah works closely with faculty and students on academic courses, academic programming and advising.
In addition, Sarah is an adjunct professor in the Department of History and Politics at Marymount where she teaches courses in medieval and world history. She enjoys thinking of new ways to get students connected to unfamiliar history, such as holding group competitions and using historical literature.
